1) Price Adjustments (Happy Hour / Specials)
Used whenever pricing differs from POS (happy hour, specials, late-night pricing).
In 2.0, you cannot simply override base pricing because of Sysnet sync
Steps
- Go to Price Adjustments.
- Create new adjustment.
- Choose:
- Percentage
- Fixed amount
- Price override
- Set days/times.
- Add products.
💡 Jeremy’s Tip:
Use “Copy to all days” then remove unwanted days — faster setup.
2) Daily Specials (Two Methods)
Controls when items appear/disappear based on time.
Option A – Separate Category (Jeremy’s preference)
- Create a category (e.g., Monday Steak).
- Assign time block.
💡 Jeremy’s Tip:
He personally prefers this method — it highlights specials more clearly.
Option B – Daily Special inside Existing Category
- Create Daily Special.
- Set time window.
- Link product.
- Assign to category.
3) Batching
Batching controls how orders are held and grouped before being sent to POS/printers. It determines whether items print immediately, or whether they’re held for a short window and combined into one docket.
This is important because batching affects:
- How many dockets print
- Whether food/drinks are grouped logically
- Bar/kitchen workflow
- Guest wait time perception
In 1.0, batching was very simple (Food vs Drinks).
In 2.0, batching is much more flexible — you can create multiple batch groups with different hold times.
How to Assign Batching
- Go to Bulk Operations.
- View Menu Items list.
- Filter/select relevant items.
- Click Assign Batch Group.
- Choose the appropriate group (e.g. Food).
Save.
Recommended ALH Set Up
This is what most venues will likely continue using:
- Drinks → 90 seconds hold
- Food → 3 minutes hold
For most ALH pubs, the likely best practice will be:
(Standard):
- Food = 3 minutes
- Drinks = 90 seconds
💡 Jeremy’s Tip:
Most venues keep it simple and apply different batching times by Food + Drink category only. Advanced batching is possible (eg. pizza’s take 5 mins, cocktails take 3 mins) but this is uncommon and not recommended.
Q. How does it work if special pricing is set in Pub+ and Sysnet? Which price overwrites which?
Pub+ pricing will take priority. Need to validate the experience if the pricing on me&u/H&L is lower than Eagle Eye
Q. Can you apply a price adjustment to modifiers? (e.g., Schnitzel & Topper)
No. It is not possible to apply a price adjustments to modifiers
Q. Can 2 price adjustments be applied to the same special? eg Kids Meal & Drink - discount $1.25 from the meal & $1.25 from the drink
We can apply 2 price adjustments as long as they are not on the same item. For example, 1 price adjustment for the Kids Chicken Nuggets and 1 price adjustment for the drink. However, if we are applying 2 price adjustments to the same item (e.g., the Chicken Nuggets), make sure the timing of each price adjustment doesn’t overlap, otherwise one adjustment may overwrite the other.
In your scenario, it would be 1 price adjustment and both the food item and the drink item would be discounted $1.25 each.
Q. Can we set up a time block across multiple venues for an item created in the master site? This would eliminate the need to activate/deactivate Footy Jugs on a Thursday & Monday.
You can copy across Daily Specials.
I will investigate this use case and report back findings on Wednesday.
